Ingredients
- 2 shallots, sliced thinly
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 duck breasts
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except duck.
- With a sharp knife, make slight cuts over the skin in a crosshatch pattern.
- Rub the duck breast with shallot mixture generously.
- Cover and refrigerate to marinate for about 12 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grease the grill grate.
- Place the duck breast onto grill, skin side down and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side.
- Remove from grill and keep aside for about 4 minutes before slicing.
- With a sharp knife, cut the breast in desired slices and serve.
