Ingredients
For Meatballs:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, minced
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
For Chutney:
- 3 medium tart apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- ΒΌ cup golden raisins
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1/3 cup water
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- For meatballs in a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Make desired sized balls from the mixture.
- Arrange the meatballs into a prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for about 15-20 minutes or until done completely.
- Meanwhile, for the sauce: in a medium pan, mix together all ingredients over medium-high heat.
- Cover the pan and cook for about 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and cook for 2-3 minutes more or until desired thickness.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- With a potato masher, mash the apple pieces slightly to form a chunky mixture.
- Serve meatballs with sauce.
