Grilled Duck

Serves: 4 persons
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 16 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 shallots, sliced thinly
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 4 duck breasts

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together all ingredients except duck.
  2. With a sharp knife, make slight cuts over the skin in a crosshatch pattern.
  3. Rub the duck breast with shallot mixture generously.
  4. Cover and refrigerate to marinate for about 12 hours.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Grease the grill grate.
  6. Place the duck breast onto grill, skin side down and grill for about 6-8 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from grill and keep aside for about 4 minutes before slicing.
  8. With a sharp knife, cut the breast in desired slices and serve.
